What materials did you use? My own fabric design printed on canvas by Spoonflower (http://www.spoonflower.com/designs/1176386), some solid colored broadcloth for lining, heavy interfacing, blue grosgrain ribbon, a silver heart button, and a cloth daisy.

What are you most proud of? I have to admit that I am pleased with how this fabric design turned out. (I've revised it a bit since I got this fabric printed, and am eager to see the newest swatches!) It incorporates imagery that is relevant to the story (the anatomical heart, the daisy, and the two characters), along with other imagery to tie it together (the heart of thorny dead branches encircling the lovers, the pale blue sky with subtle white clouds). Also I like pinstripes and wanted to work them in somehow.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The sewing is really easy. Just layer the outer fabric, the interfacing, and the lining together, and zigzag the edges; then sew the two halves together. I used double-fold bias tape to finish the seams inside, so there are no exposed edges. Another way could have been to use a decorative bias tape, and have the seams on the outside; then you wouldn't have to turn it inside-out. I may try that next time.
