What was your inspiration?
Two things inspired this project. The first was my love of Halloween -- it's my favorite holiday, and I celebrate it throughout the month of October. The second was the spider confetti I found at Hobby Lobby. I just couldn't resist it!
What are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the way the spiders look against the white sequins. It really makes them stand out. So creepy!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Not all hole punches were created equal! When you're looking for a 1/16 inch circular handheld punch, which you'll need to turn confetti into sequins, go for the Fiskars brand, which you can find online, or at JoAnn Fabrics.
And if you can't find spider confetti, there are spider sequins at ccartwright.com. Much easier, and you don't even need to buy the punch!
