What materials did you use? 1 Knittique Scraplet Skein (120 yds.) plus about 100 yds. of assorted heavy worsted-weight yarns for collar.

What are you most proud of? I had planned to make my original Version 2 Chevron Capelet (with a close-fitting turtleneck), but realized when I was working on the lower part of the collar (this capelet is knitted from the bottom up) that when folded over, the collar would virtually hide all the beautiful gold color in the Scraplet Skein. It struck me that I could simply split the collar (something I've never done before), which is not only a great look, but it allows an intriguing glimpse of gold!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The yarns I used for my sample, particularly the Scraplet Skeins, really do most of the work for you-- the knitting itself is fairly simple. (The Chevron Stitch is a 2-row repeat; worked in the round, this means no purling in this section!) If you'd like to substitute something else for the Scraplet Skeins, I'd recommend a bulky-weight self-striping yarn-- the better to show off your Chevron Stitch! Also, for this version, make sure you choose a yarn for the collar that will feel really good next to your skin.
