Spiral Flower Headband

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Crochet Spiral Flower »

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky, Hipster, Outdoorsy, Cute

Materials

I've crocheted these in sugar n/cream 100% cotton for summer and in Red Heart Supersaver acrylic for winter

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to get out of crocheting hats and make something funky... At first I though the flower was too big and obnoxious but, after trying it on, I loved it! I get lots of compliments when I wear it!

What are you most proud of?

I love how it sits on my head and how I can use it in the winter to cover my ears and to keep my bangs away from my face in the summer. Use a cotton yarn for summer and acrylic for winter :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Add a button to the middle of the flower. I bought 4 lbs of buttons on ebay. They're fun to go through to find the right one!
I tried making the headband in the flower pdf pattern but did not like it, so you can use the headband pattern listed on the right. That one's free!!

Try this link. Theres an "add to cart" button on the bottom right. The link to the free headband pattern is somewhere in the conversation below.

I went to buy the pattern but it says that it is sold. Is there another way to buy the flower pattern?

I posted links both to the free headband and the flower pattern, but the one for the headband has disappeared. Heres the link: http://susaninstitches.blogspot.com/2008/11/free-pattern-nadie-crochet-headband.html

Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to make one. I've been wanting something stylish as a earwarmer.

The one for the flower has to be purchased, but I used a free pattern, listed above, for the headband. I liked it better. You wont regret buying the pattern for the flower, though! I loved it!

Hi! yes! It's listed above "difficulty". I used a pattern (you'll have to buy it) for the flower (http://www.etsy.com/listing/45214148/pdf-pattern-crochet-spiral-flower) and a different one (free) for the headband (http://susaninstitches.blogspot.com/2008/11/free-pattern-nadie-crochet-headband.html)
