Thank you. I messed around with the water on this one for what seemed like forever. It's gratifying to hear that it succeeded to some extent :)

Happy that it makes you feel that way....thank you! I do my best to paint things that remind people of the beauty and peace we are surrounded by when we take the time to look and feel.

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to see how you blend your colors do you have anything on YouTube?

Haven't had the means for filming to put anything together for a video to date. Very briefly....I don't blend so much as layer colors to get shift in colors because I work with acrylics, which dry very fast. I just keep putting color over color to get different shades and values. It can often be a slow process and requires a certain amount of 'throwing caution to the wind' and a lot of perseverance because it seems that things are not working out at all until something starts to come together. Then it is a little subtler process, with minor changes here and there. Such as bringing out the minor accents of the oranges and yellows and reds in the foreground of the water. The layers bring out the broader shifts in color in the accents are a little more controlled placement of color. Hard to explain :)

Thanks for explaining. I can imagine how difficult it is to do, I've tried to do what you're describing but with out success. I also use Acrylics I'm slowly building a small profile on here too. But I really have no idea, I have never taken an art class, but love painting. I cant draw for the life of me, but i paint, somewhat, but no where as brilliant as you do.

I have learned over the years that it's all about practice. The more you paint the more you learn. After painting a hundred or so pieces one hopes to see some improvement :) The next hundred are a little easier, etc :) Just keep painting!

Thank you! I have found that they give some freedom..any sunset you paint has been seen somewhere :) And it makes it easy to combined warms and cools.
