This was a block of the month (BOM) kit. I made it for my grandson for Christmas

What are you most proud of?
all of the applique is hand stitched with the blanket stitch technique.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are just learning the blanket stitch please understand it will get much better with practice and be patient with it. Now people are amazed I haven't done it by machine.
