What was your inspiration?
I love sourdough bread! I have been making jam like crazy this summer (2012) and thought it only fitting that I make homemade sourdough bread. I used a Southern Living recipe for sourdough starter and I have made Country Crust Sourdough Bread, Sourdough French Bread, Sourdough Pancakes, and Chocolate Sourdough Bread!
What are you most proud of?
My starter is living and I don't fuss over it!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Do your research on starters but don't fuss over it! If you don't have time to stir it 3 times a day, you can still keep a starter. Try to use it once a week.
