I used clay beads from Mali, recycled glass from Ghana, and copper
What was your inspiration?
I have to favorite jewelry artists that inspire me. XO Gallery and Dorje Designs. I love the unsual use of color, sometimes rustic or refined antique components they use. I find that this kind of work is what I love most. When you find the right pieces they just fall into place. I forgot to mention that the copper beads are from Ethiopia.
What are you most proud of?
I love the "EarthTribel" feel of the piece. I love the way the colors blend. I was in Sonora a week ago. The name is perfect.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Find components that speak to your creative nature and just go for it.
