What was your inspiration?
i am a longtime Native American Craft and Culture enthusiast. When I found the print batik that I used in the border, I bought it and put it away til I found the right pattern. Sonora was IT!
What are you most proud of?
This pattern involves a LOT of rotary cutting. My dad wanted something to do so I showed him how and he cut all the strips and did a lot of the trimming of the pieces for the blocks.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure your colors are a different value that your 2 backgorund colors, or they wont show up.
