Instructions
I started out using a pattern but changed it completely. Very easy to make up but put the darks and lights together before making the diamonds. Added the blue sashing and different borders. If you stuck to the pattern you can make the whole thing with just one layer cake. A blue and white layer cake I have had for ages...from Moda...can't remember the name as I took the band off it...plus yardage for the sashing and backing.
What was your inspiration?
My beautiful daughter who gave me a place to stay and saved my life when I had to return to Australia suddenly from USA. Without her i wouldn't be doing so well today...
What are you most proud of?
Coming up with the idea to change the pattern as I wanted it to be a bit bigger than the pattern. And quilting it myself.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get the book I have mentioned above. Its a great resource and will give you lots to go on with...
