Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Soleto Vest »

Instructions

When finishing the sleeves, after picking up the underarm stitches beware of picking up too many stitches around the arm. I picked up every other stitch for a total of 64 around the arm and the finishing rows came out perfectly.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Petite

Style: Classic

Materials

Reynolds Saucy

What was your inspiration?

The yarn in my stash and finding this pattern. I was intrigued by the construction using a provisional cast on and knitting up and over the shoulders.

What are you most proud of?

This was so much fun to work on, I competed it in record time.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it! It's a great pattern and the designer is very accessible if you have any questions.

I want to make a few vests this winter and this will be one of them.

I encourage you to redo the armholes - I redid mine three times, but the final result was worth it.

I agree with the above comment. I picked up every stitch around the armhole. This makes them too big. I am considering taking them out and picking up less stitches.
