What materials did you use? Cascade 220 heathers

What are you most proud of? Not twisting the loop, and having a nice firm start to my sock. My last attempt at sock making was very sloppy at the top. I followed Lucy's instructions and was very pleased with the result.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do what she says!

It's looking lovely!

Thank you Lucy, this is such a good method of getting started. I found your explanation very clear. Probably the best I've managed in setting up DPNs and so much less stressful than other methods I have tried.

Just added 2 more pix showing the decreases and the heel flap and turned heel. Very proud of myself. He tried it on last naught and it fit perfectly. Yay!

It's so reassuring to try on a sock-in-progress. It's well worth the investment of a little time.

Yes it is. I have finished it now and about to start sock #2. I liked the sock chimney too! This class could be renamed "knitting outside the square!"

I agree with you that following Lucy's instructions make setting up the DPNs so easy. First time I made it all the way with DPNs as well!! I may now just be using my interchangeable circulars for the BIG shawls and such. Love your photos!!
