What materials did you use? Men's insulated socks, stuffing and embroidery thread.

What are you most proud of? The monkeys and especially the shirts - I think they make the monkeys special and personal.

I love how you personalized them! Did you satin stitch the mouths?

Used a satin stitch on some, for others I just used a straight, or line, stitch.

My granny made these for us kids 65 years ago. We loved them!!! My brother's had a tail that was probably 2 feet long because he dragged it around after him by the tail--and of course the tail stretched to its maximum length possible. What memories. Thanks for the lovely 'reminder' of what wonderful 'friends' these toys are for kids!!!

The "old" socks from years ago had red diamond shaped heel insets on each sock. Hence, the monkey always had a large red diamond shaped smiley mouth, and under the tail a red diamond shaped rear end. They were too cute.
