Materials
Cotton quilting fabric, leftovers from someone else's project. A few of my own scraps and Warm and natural batting.
What was your inspiration?
A friend gave me a small bundle of scraps left over from another project. I sorted through the strips, matched up some colors from my scrap pile and this is what I came up with.
What are you most proud of?
I made as many fence rail blocks as I could and decided that I had to come up with and equal number of another block. Over night the plan formed and I went to work on making another 24 blocks to go with them. Not enough red, back to the scraps for another color. I am so happy with the end results. It looks like I knew where I was going with the design from the start.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid to be creative. Some of my best quilts happen when I have to search in my stash for fabric to complete a design. As they say: WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU SCRAPS, MAKE QUILTS. This is my scrappy quilt.
