What materials did you use? The material was a100% cotton lights and darks all prints with snowmen on them. The center square was Holly. The back of the quilt was a dark print with whimsical snowmen and their families!

What are you most proud of? I finished the quilt top in one afternoon!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This project is simple and easy the fun with log cabin is you can lay the blocks out in so many different ways to make the quilts look different; and this is why I never tire of the Log Cabin Block!

The Log Cabin was also my first quilt and has a special place in my heart for all the same reasons. You did a great job. Congratulations.

I just finished piecing together my first log cabin quilt. I am, however, having difficulty finishing. How did you quilt it?

I love to machine quilt, I sandwich my quilt top batting and back together. I use basting safety pins there are other choices for basting out there I fold my quilt in half then into a quarter and find the very center and mark that with my first basting safety pin. then I work from the inside to the outside so that my quilt lays evenly sandwiched together. I like to machine quilt with the stippling look so again I start in the middle and work my way out to the edges working from the center of the quilt keeping in mind to move to each quarter of the quilt evenly . It is the same principle with hands quilting as well. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT FINISHED PRODUCT PLEASE SHARE A PIC WITH ME WHEN YOU COMPLETE IT!
