What materials did you use? Yardage, Fat quarters, machine embroidery materials, monopoly quilting thread

What are you most proud of? I am just learning to free motion quilt. I am also taking Ann Peterson's wonderful Beyond Basics course and really hope to be able to master enough confidence too improve my skills in that area. I did an all over meander on this quilt and it is the first time I have done fee motion on a quilt of this size. I know my next one will have a bit more fancy stitching, but I am happy to be getting my "toes in the water", and know that a year ago, I couldn't have done this.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just have fun!

Beautiful! Did you do the block method with the sashing holding it together?

Thanks! Yes I did and then appliqued with a satin edge stitching on the snowflake blocks.

Thank you so much! Put this little booger in the mail today and sent it off to it's forever home.

Wow! I love it! Nice work. I like how you placed the row of white off center, rather than in the middle of the quilt or alternating the snowflakes with the other blocks. This makes it look very contemporary.

Thank you! It was such a fun quilt to make. I have had a fun season of sewing this year.

What a wonderful quilt and beautiful story to go with it! Great job, you may have inspired me to do some free motion, have only attempted it on small sample blocks so far.....really is fun!

Thanks again. I don't know if you have taken Cindy Needham's course yet, but it really helped me get started.
