What was your inspiration?

I recently started an informal craft class at my church and wanted to give ideas for Christmas crafts so got out all my related projects. I had bought a Leisurecraft pattern years ago but hadn't used it. When I crocheted a couple they grew on me. Then I saw a picture of paper snowflakes on a window and thought I would like to decorate my windows with crocheted snowflakes and so searched for patterns. I bought several books but was delighted to find gorgeous free patterns by Deborah Atkinson on her Snowflake Monday web-site. She also writes most descriptively about her inspiration for particular patterns.

What are you most proud of?

I have received many compliments on my snowflakes and my son even requested a set for his windows.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Start with free projects by Snowflake Monday but beware you will become hooked!
