Materials
Worsted weight yarn similar to Red Heart and size I or 5.5mm hook and size G or 4mm hook. Yarn needle to sew on snowflake.
What was your inspiration?
I don't like to wear hats too much, but I needed something to keep my ears warm. I like this stitch pattern because it looks similar to knitted rib stitch, but it creates a dense fabric to keep you warm. Also, this headband is easy on and off. There are no buttons, ties, snaps, etc. needed to wear this.
I made a snowflake to go with it since it was snowing the day I made it.
What are you most proud of?
That it's practical as well as pretty, and that it will fit a variety of sizes from small child to adult. Also that this is a great project to use your smaller bits of yarn in your stash.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
A great project for a newer crocheter that wants to stretch their skills a bit. Also a great, quick project for the experienced crocheter.
