Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Mod, Casual, Cute, Holiday, Whimsical, Traditional, Funky

Materials

Fabric - Colorful Christmas by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Batting, buttons, embroidery floss, thread

What was your inspiration?

I saw Bunny Hill's free BOM site and LOVED all the snowmen applique blocks!

What are you most proud of?

I like how the applique and embroidery turned out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be careful choosing fabrics for the background fabric in your applique blocks. I should have used solids behind mine:( Most of my applique gets lost in the prints.

Thank you! I enjoyed making this quilt. I gave it to my daughter last year and she displays it during the holidays.

Simply adorable! "Snowpeople" make me goofy for winter too!! My bucket list has a Christmas BOM on it. I'll keep looking for patterns. This Craftsy site is certainly awesome!! Good job on that quilt!

Thanks! I love the little snowmen on this quilt too - if I did this quilt again I would use solids behind the applique so they would show up better!
