Instructions

Develop very good drawing and painting skills.

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Whimsical

Materials

Black coverstock paper, watercolor paints, gouache, fine sable paintbrushes.

What was your inspiration?

I love pearls and I had the idea of them becoming encrusted on a heavy chain that was left dropped into the sea long ago. With this image in my mind I designed a bracelet, half bangle and half chain with most of the pearls dripping from it.

What are you most proud of?

The clustering effect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Develop very good drawing and painting skills to render your jewelry design ideas.

Thank you - my renderings are quite realistic, I did this type of work as an in-house designer for 19 years, 5 days a week, 9 to 5 - a tremendous amount of drawing and painting!
