I hadn't had a class, I read a little about it (very little). I bought EQ6 and made a pattern. I would suggest a beginners class, if you haven't quilted before. Contact your local quilt shop or fabric store. It really was easy.Difficulty:

This turned out so well. It must have been fool's luck. We use it every day.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take a class in quilting, if you never have. Be brave, your grandmother probably did this all the time. Let me know, If I can help.
