|Here are some details about my project:|
|Style||Whimsical, Cute, Holiday, Retro / Vintage, Traditional|
What materials did you use? Crochet cotton, size 10, a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook, foam core board, plastic wrap, fabric stiffener, paper towel, and rust-proof straight pins. Optional materials: assorted ribbon, jump rings, crystal beads, clear glitter paint, ornament hangers, and small suction cups with hooks.
What are you most proud of? I enjoy playing around with the different stitches to see each pattern take shape. Connecting snowflakes with an icicle or another snowflake makes an elegant hanging ornament.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Snowflakes are a great project for the intermediate crocheter. Be sure to keep track of which step you're on in each of the rounds. This snowflake and icicle are part of the Fun & Fancy Flakes No. 3 pattern set. The pattern is written in U.S. terms.
