What was your inspiration?
My step-sister had major surgery and is looking at 6 weeks of recovery. I was trying to think of something I could send her besides flowers. I took the on-line craftsy toe-up sock class and socks are now my favorite thing to knit. I made these quick because of the things I learned from class - kitchener toe closing is a piece of cake.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use a stretchy cast on.
