Slightly Snow White Set

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Burda 09/2011 #118 Bodice »

Instructions

I'd raise the back to neck level if I made it again.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Costume

For: Women

Style: Traditional, Whimsical, Classic, Funky

Materials

- yellow linen leftovers for bodice (.5 to .75 m - can't remember) - dark blue cotton broadcloth for skirt (2m) - trachten cotton for apron (0.5m?)

What was your inspiration?

Originally I wanted a bright ensemble for Oktoberfest, but with so much work, I didn't finish in time. When a friend saw the bodice in progress along with the planned fabric on my sewing table she remarked it reminded her of Snow White... so I went with it.

What are you most proud of?

Finishing a bodice that fits really well!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun with the different elements, and check out my blog posts for information on what the apron knots mean as well as how to make your own apron...
