This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Stupendous Stitching: Adventures in Surface Design »

Instructions

This is a decorative cover for a sachet of white sage for my daughter. It is approximately 3.25 " X 6"

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Women

Style: Funky

Materials

Cotton fabric, cotton batting. Metallic, cotton & polyester threads. Cotton embroidery threads some of which were my grandmothers.

What was your inspiration?

Wanted to make a pretty cover for a sachet of white sage (sleep aid) to go inside my daughter's pillow slip. Carol Ann Waugh's Stupendous Stitching class was the inspiration. This was a quick several hour project compared to my first class project that is only about 1/2 done.

What are you most proud of?

First try came out nice

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't get hung up on perfect. Take notes on how you'd do differently for projects to follow

Very fun. Good advise... don't get hung up on perfect. My motto is strive for excellence, not perfection!

I like the way you "wandered' around the piece, it is very dream like. Great colors too!

If it doesn't help her sleep, at least when she mashes it as she rolls over it smells wonderful
