What are you most proud of? Knitting lace - me! I did it. I actually took this class a year ago but am only now getting the work & info uploaded. Craftsy is a great way to learn new techniques.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Laura is a great teacher & explains things very well. I found counting my stitches in every set helpful, that & using marker rings for repeats. I am number dyslexic but had no difficulty following Laura's excellent instruction & producing 2 shawls which I am very proud of.

Oh, thank you, how kind of you to say so. This was my first ever lace, Laura Nelkin is a brilliant teacher, I learned so much from her class for which this shawl was the project. Now I have tackled some quite complex lace work such as Honeysuckle by Sarah Hatton and adapting & designing part of my second Hap shawl from the Hap class here on Craftsy, all thanks to taking Laura's initial class to make this shawl you comment on here.

If you take Laura's excellent class, Knit This Mastering Lace Shawls, then you receive both this pattern Skywalker and another of Laura's designs with the class. I learned most of my lace knitting skills from taking Laura's class some years ago and have gone on to make some quite complicated designs. I highly recommend this class, Laura is a first rate teacher. Check out my Hap, Hap Happy shawls 1 (blue) & 2 (pink), in projects for Gudrun's Hap shawl class.
