What was your inspiration?
I love knitting shawls! I love Laura Nelkin's designs, so I was super excited to take her craftsy class! I really enjoyed the course! I loved Laura's teaching style and her sense of humor! It was awesome! I love all the craftsy classes! I got some Nightfall yarn that starts out black and changes to bright violet, so I thought this was the perfect project for it!
What are you most proud of?
This is only my second lace shawl, I am really getting alot better at following the charts and I have learned alot! I am much better now and don't lose my place anymore! Now I am able to really read my knitting, find my place and fix any mistakes along the way! I have definitely gained alot of confidence in knitting lace! I can't wait to knit more lace projects!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is definitely worth your money to take the Mastering Lace Knitting class!
Laura's instructions are so clear and easy to follow along! It is truly like knitting with a friend! You should use life lines often just in case you make a mistake! Life lines are truly a life saver! Just Relax and enjoy yourself!
