Loved my yarn I used but if you do this pattern in the Shalimar yarn you will need more than one skein.Difficulty:

Materials
Shalimar "Breathless" in 2 different colors as one skein was not enough so I added darker bands of color.
What was your inspiration?
The instructor in the on-line class, Laura, was most inspiring with her intro to the project and tips and directions along the way. She made the project easy, interesting and fun.
The colors I chose for my shawl reminded me of the ocean, which I always find inspiring.
What are you most proud of?
The results and the new knowledge I learned along the way. I am basically a self-taught knitter and I learned quite a few techniques to add to my bag of tricks. I already have used the "russian join" in some of my sweater knitting. Works great.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You can do it. With the on-line course you can just go back and replay parts you need to aas often as you need to. Also be patient and you get great advice and help on any questions you might have that are above and beyond what is in the class. They really do get back to you and give you the explanations you're looking for.
