What materials did you use? The sky scarf (http://www.leafcutterdesigns.com/projects/sky-scarf.html) is a scarf that takes a year to knit... you knit one line every day for a year, based on the colour of the sky for that day. In fact, it takes more than a year, because, of course, life intervenes, and you miss days of knitting, so keeping a calendar is a good idea. Five colours, dark blue, light blue, white, light grey and dark grey are used, with 2 lines of each blue... so 7 lines are used in the knitting, with only 2 colours being knit each line, and the other 5 colours are carried up the side. You can use any lace-weight yarn in the appropriate colours; I used Bernat Baby yarn for the whites and blues, and Paton Kroy sock yarn for the greys.

What are you most proud of? Even though it took me almost a year after the end date for the scarf, I finally finished it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Because you're using 7 balls of yarn, the bind off is a bit difficult - use larger than usual needles, so that you can accommodate the stitches when you slip them over to bind off.
