What materials did you use? various cotton prints from several quilt shops.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I got a tip online to paper piece the rings. Great advice. It went together pretty easy.

My first attempt at FMQ...stitches are pretty scary. Amazing how throwing it in the wash helps hide all of the flubs:)

Whooo hoo... what a great quilt you have created... the circle design is a very challenging shape and I love the clean look with the scrappy circles against the white.. the quilting really adds a lot of texture!

What type of sewing Mach will I need

To make this quilt in its entirety you will need a sewing machine that can do straight stitch, and to do the free motion quilting you will need to be able to drop the feed dogs and use a darning foot or open loop foot. Most decent machines would be fine.
