What was your inspiration?
I recently began teaching Beginner Sewing in my home. When my students started to use commercial patterns, my eyes were opened to the lack of details in the instructions. I immediately began crafting a pattern that would teach these skills.
What are you most proud of?
This pattern has over 90 instructional pictures that detail how to construct the pattern, create darts, make a lining and even applique a flower. Once a beginner has made this pattern, she will feel like an expert!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Let your imagination run wild. Take this simple pattern and create something unique and individual that you will love and treasure!
