One charm pack - ("Curio," made by basicgrey for Moda), and a bit of complementary fabric I hand on hand for the binding.
What was your inspiration?
Jenny's Quilting Quickly class that introduced quilting with charm packs, and Wendy's Machine Quilting class that took some of the fear out of the project.
What are you most proud of?
This is my FIRST quilting project ever. I'm pleased that all but two of the points match. And I was able to mitre the corners on the binding, using Wendy's method. It was also the first time I used my walking foot - while applying the binding.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a great first project because the size is small, and the only quilting was done by stitching in the ditch. My next quilt will be bigger, and I'll branch out with more complex machine stitching now that I've gotten my feet wet.
