Materials

I used two skeins of a wool/linen yarn.

What was your inspiration?

Jeri Riggs! Seriously, I was standing in WEBS with Jeri, with these two skeins of yarn from the $2/ball shelf, and wondering what I could do with them. She suggested making a rectangle and seaming it into a shrug.

What are you most proud of?

Combining a bunch of horizontal lace stitches to get vertical stripes. I went through a whole bunch of different ideas before achieving an effect I liked.

Oh, also that a couple of my friends liked it so much that they made their own and wore them all the time for a few months.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's easier than it looks.
