Silver/Niobium Byzantine Bracelet

Pattern Info

This project was designed by kaelynn.

Byzantine Chain Tutorial »

Instructions

Byzantine chainmaille weave using sterling silver and anodized niobium rings. Since the anodized niobium rings were slightly larger than desirable for a nice tight Byzantine, I altered the weave slightly by using sterling rings of the same size and inserting an extra ring between each pair of niobium rings to stabilize the weave.

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky, Mod, Casual

Materials

sterling silver, anodized niobium

What was your inspiration?

These anodized niobium rings that I purchased from Spider (www.spiderchain.com) had such a depth of color that begged to be combined with shining sterling silver.
