What was your inspiration?
My grandmother Stella made beautiful quilts. I have one on my bed that she made from scraps of her left over fabric. Its full of vintage prints and inspiration. This scarf was inspired from a little 1.5" block of pink floral and gold tones.
What are you most proud of?
It's taken a long time to learn how to paint on silk. I think every silk painter will agree that the longer you paint the better you get. I am most proud that I have continued to paint and explore with silk... maybe in 15-20 year from now I will be able to say I am a professional silk artist.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
There are not mistakes just opportunities. Sometimes mistakes turn into beautiful works of art that would not have happened any other way.
