Lorna's Laces Superwash Worsted Weight (4) Merino Wool in Mother Lode 3 skeins @ 225 yards each
What was your inspiration?
I had this beautiful Lorna's Lace Worsted Weight yarn from one of the Craftsy Yarn Deals and this pattern I found on Susan's B Anderson's blog. Just had to get it on my needles right away!
What are you most proud of?
I learned a new cast on method....Garter Tab Cast On that you can find here
http://westknits.com/index.php/2011/07/garter-tab-cast-on/
I'm a fan Stephen's work and you will be too if you have not seen his beautiful shawls!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The pattern instructions are for garter stitch throughout! I'm not a huge fan of that stitch, so I changed it up just a bit and knitted in stockinette instead. It shows off hand painted yarns so much better than garter!
