I took an existing tunic-dress made from a similar stretchy fabric and traced it for the sleeve and upper part of the dark dress, then lengthened in to ankle. The front is 2 pieces, buttoned every 6cm - I used snaps because my sewing machine hates buttonholes. What was your inspiration?
Seeing my b/feeding tops hanging inside-out on the washing line reminded me of the Costume Histories of Francois Boucher and John Peacock.
What are you most proud of?
This makes an awesome cold-weather breastfeeding outfit!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Fusible hemming tape is brilliant for stabilising spandex so you can sew straight hems!
