Sport yarn and H crochet hook. Any weight yarn and hook that would be suggested for that yarn would work as there is no gauge.
What was your inspiration?
I saw a pattern for a easy sweater/ beach cover on a yarn website. I wanted something that could be used in many ways as I was about to take a plan trip.
What are you most proud of?
Many people have noticed it when I wear it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try it!!
I crocheted a large granny square using sport weight yarn. I then crocheted 2 chains to weave in to form the shrug/sweater. It is the most perfect item to wear when you want something to cover up with. The draw strings can be removed to use it as a lap blanket, baby blanket or fold at diagonally it to wear as a triangle shawl. The possible uses are almost endless.
