What was your inspiration?
I saw this at the Bijou Basin Ranch yarn booth at Stitches West this spring, and had to have it. It was made up in Hunter Green but this shrug is the color of old bricks or almost-ripe tomatoes.
What are you most proud of?
I finally got confident enough to crochet another nice garment from really expensive yarn!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Gauge swatch! Also, it has a FHDC which is Foundation Half Double Crochet. The pattern tells you exactly how to do it, but be patient with yourself. Crochet that row really loosely!
