What was your inspiration?

This is a wearable muslin for my cousin's husband. It's the Burda Jakob Pattern. The cotton was inexpensive so it was good for a muslin. Since he comes from Switzerland once a year for the Chinese New Year holidays I wanted to make sure the shirt fits him.

I used a low quality medium thickness interface and hence it did bubble when ironed. I know better when I work on a REAL shirt!

What are you most proud of?

I can't seem to stop making shirts. All this stems from Pam's encouragement. My sis is requesting that I make for her a wardrobe full of shirts for work! Even for evenings out she wants to wear a shirt maybe in a softer more flowy fabric.

Thanks. I don't know what brand is the good interfacing since I buy it in metres off a roll. But the shopkeeper assures me it's good stuff and the price reflects that :)

I like the contasting collar band and your collar looks very professional. I too also cannot stop making shirts ... they are so enjoyable and rewarding to sew, and something everyone can use.

Hi Barbara J.!, What a fantastic wearable muslin! I love the way you changed the direction of the stripe on the band and pocket. Also the contrast under collar and outer band. You really put a lot of thought in your construction. Great job! Pam
