What was your inspiration?
A friend asked me to design a shawl for her daughter-in-law who is Chinese. I've always loved Japanese shoji screens and soon charted out a pattern based on that structure.
What are you most proud of?
The combination of two different types of bulky cotton yarn in similar colors turned out very nice! The subtle color and texture differences make it look very elegant. For this project I used Araucania Nature Cotton and Queensland Pima Fresca.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just remember to crochet very loosely!
