Instructions

This is a traditional shetland shawl, handknit in the traditional manner. The center is worked in garter st. The middle border is knit in the round after picking up stitches all around the center square. Finally the outer border is knit back and forth using up the middle border stitches after each row. What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make an authentic Shetland shawl and had this beautiful soft Merino.

What are you most proud of?

The fineness of the handspun yarn. Each of the 2 plies is super fine.

This one is also really pretty...and ehm...seeing your photo's....you live quite beautifully overthere in Canada..don't you?? hahaha, the photo-backrounds are all green and ' roomy' ....(i am from holland...we do not have views here like yours..hahahaha) grtz
