What materials did you use? I made this bag using nearly all recylced fabrics and purse hardware. The navy fabric is a cotton drill fabric that I found at the local thrift shop and the white floral fabric comes from an old tablecloth I found on eBay. The only new fabric I bought brand new was the pink cotton lining.

What are you most proud of? This is the first handbag I've made and I think it came together well. I like how the floral pattern from the tablecloth looks symmetrical on the front and back and that it looks so nice against the navy. I like how the silver hardware really brings the bag to life. Im very excited that it cost me so little to make, Im inspired to make many more!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make a sample bag out of a cheap fabric first to ensure you are happy with the dimensions of the bag, particularly the curved top, use a rotary cutter..

Your bag is really cute. I like the combo of the hobo and the flat bottom. Using recycled materials is a plus!
