What materials did you use? Ponti (white), rayon knit (patterned top), polyester thread (Gutterman and Coats and Clarks), Janome sewing machine, Steam-a-seam Lite.

The pants pattern fit well, and I learned to use my blind hemming foot on my machine. The top did not require too many fitting issues, but I did need to put in a little dart in the arm as it was gaping. Sometimes I felt that sewing the patterned fabric was like sewing water! On my next pair of pants, I would like to make the pant legs a little slimmer.

Both pieces look great on you! The slim leg style would be a great next step.

That is very flattering!

Thank you!

Donna, your pieces look great! I thought you had bought the pants before I read your use of "white ponte". May I ask, what level of sewer you consider yourself? Did you take a knitwear sewing class before this one?

Love your top, Donna.
