What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make Kat a completely original prom dress that was a custom fit.
What are you most proud of?
Five days before prom I was worried I had bitten off more than I could chew, but I took a breath and just cowgirled up! I so proud of this whole dress, Ive carried it around in my car to show friends and family. I'm most proud of the impeccable fit of this dress.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Practice with a muslin first! Take your time and I would advise watching the entire lesson before jumping in to your fashion fabric. I also used a dress liner that was too flimsy so I made it sturdier by ironing a light to medium weight fusible interfacing.
