Sew-In Frame Change Purse

Pattern Info

This project was designed by Sweet Bee.
Info can be found at:

Sew-In Frame Change Purse »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Cute

Materials

Quilter's cotton, fusible fleece (Thermolam), fusible interfacing

What was your inspiration?

I bought the purse frame at Joann's - I usually use the non sew-in kind and wanted to try and figure out the sew-in kind.

What are you most proud of?

The top of the purse and how it fits just perfectly into the frame :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It can be fiddly sewing through the holes, but just stick with it and take your time :)

I personally prefer the no-sew where you use super-strong glue. Either this weekend or next weekend I will be posting a tutorial (with a pattern) for the no-sew frames on my blog http://sweetbeebuzzings.blogspot.com. I'll also give a few links for where to get the no-sew frames (for a change-purse sized project). For something quick and cute the sew-in is fine, though. Those frames seem to be sold in more chain craft stores, while the glue-ins are sold more online, it seems.

Very cute. For someone wanting to make these, would recomend the sew or no-sew tops? Which would be more secure? Thank you.
