What materials did you use? Denim with 1% lycra

What are you most proud of? The detail and not using pins. Didn't put the buttons on yet.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the instructions exactly. It works. Put a note on your machine to remind about stitch length...ask me why? Lol.

No pins sewing isn't it great. Your jacket looks great too.

Beautiful jacket. Would you mind sharing where you got your fabric? And did you choose not to topstitch, or is it just not coming through on the pic?

I like your jacket too and Pink is my favorite color. What pattern does the class use and size? I'm a Petite 4'8" lady.

It is an islander sewing systems class and the pattern comes with the purchase. You pay $49 for the class and the pattern is mailed to you free. Since it actually costs $22 that adds up to a pretty good deal. It is an awesome class. Janet is so clear and concise, if you follow the instructions you turn out a perfect jacket. I am 5'3" petite and was worried about the fit but other than shortening the sleeve a bit (I have really short arms) it is a perfect fit. I was worried about all the fitting problems i usually have in regular patterns but it worked for my shoulders, length and circumference perfectly. I have received many compliments and love it when people ask me where i bought it. It is so freeing not to use pins.
