What materials did you use? I pieced 1-1/2 strips of various batiks together for my background fabric. I used various cords and ribbons for the couching, and Isacord embroidery thread for all the decorative stitching. I'm not quite done filling in the background quilting, but this is going to be the front of a project bag (tote) when I'm finished.

What are you most proud of? The spontaneity of it... I mostly work in neutrals and classic designs, so this was fun for me.

Beautiful! Thanks for posting. i will try to find the Hoopsisters Battilizer. Was this easy to hand embroider through?

I skipped the hand embroidery Carol Ann, I don't do anything by hand! There is zero puckering with the Battilzer, try it I think you will like it! Thanks for a most inspirational class!

I wondered about piecing myself. This turned out great! I Have never heard of battilizer. Will need to try it. Thank you for sharing.
