Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Romantic, Traditional

Materials

Cotton fabric

What are you most proud of?

I am proud just to have completed these!!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use a very scant quarter for this block as I had to redo the Chain block:(
Have fun trying to decide a pattern you like for the Cleopatra's Puzzle, I did. Infact I couldn't decide and let my husband and son choose and as they chose the same one that's the one I made.

Thanks Pam, I had fun trying out different patterns... I would love to make a quilt using these templates and have lots of variations on each block, I think it would make for a fun quilt.

Cor you're a glutton for punishment wanting to make a whole quilt... it would make a fun quilt but would making it be fun??? Some of us think not LOL. Did you have the proper templates for cutting? Are your BOM blocks going to make a quilt for Lily Kate?

I didn't have proper templates for these blocks but did buy a timy rotary cutter which made cutting them out easy and accurate. I have now bought larger templates so it would be much quicker to make a quilt. I think I am going to keep this quilt as I have got very fond of the fabrics and the blocks. I have so many things I want to make Lily-Kate I will never run out of projects haha

I really like the soft colors in your blocks! Almost done! And isn't curved piecing a pain??

Thanks Surfside6 I am pleased with how they turned out although this block is a bit tedious until you make a few it does get easier and worth the effort.
