What was your inspiration?

This was so much fun to spin. The color variations are wonderful. And the mix of blue face leceister and silk make this so so soft with a gorgeous drape and a lovely sheen.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Dyeing roving is not very difficult. I use colorfast acid dyes. I soak my roving in a vinegar solution for 30 minutes. While my roving is soaking, I prepare my colors. I use a color wheel but I also like to add interesting pops of colors.

I'm updating my blog at this time but plan of having some pictures of what I do to dye my rovings soon.

Two long-fibers spun together! Skill. Can you tell us more about your dye process, please?
